Symphonic has made two combination TV/VCRs, a 9 inch and a 13 inch. The space-saving 9 inch device runs off 12V in addition to household current. A DC adapter for use in recreational vehicles (RVs) and automobiles is included. The 13-inch model is geared toward kitchens and bedrooms. Both eliminate the wiring that's ordinarily needed between the TV and VCR. There are some troubleshooting steps you can take should the TVs not work.
Instructions
1. Check for power. Make sure the AC cord is connected to the AC home outlet or the car battery cord is connected to the vehicle's cigarette lighter. There is a 5A 250V fuse in the car battery cord, make sure it's not blown. Replace it and try again.
2. Check for picture and sound. Check if the antenna is connected to the source. If you are not using cable or a satellite dish, you should be using a digital converter box. TV transmission technology has changed recently and a converter is now required to pick up free-to-air signals with this TV.
3. Adjust the tracking if the VCR picture is very noisy. The channel button doubles as the tracking button when playing back a VCR tape. Clean the VCR heads if you don't get any picture, but you do get sound.
4. Move the device away from nearby appliances if the color on the screen looks strange. Unplug the TV and wait thirty minutes before turning it back on again.
5. Replace the batteries in the remote control if the remote isn't functioning right.
