The Canon Vixia HG20 is a mid-priced digital camcorder. It offers the benefits of digital video, such as instant playback, without the high price tag of more advanced features. This model can store media on both an removable memory card and an internal hard drive. The process for deleting clips is the same in either scenario. Occasionally, clips will need to be erased to free up space for new files. Deleted clips can never be recovered.
Instructions
1. Turn on the camera pushing the On/Off switch on the side.
2. Rotate the shooting dial to the video playback mode, which has an icon of a film camera with a triangle in it.
3. Use the left and right arrows to navigate to the clip you would like to delete.
4. Press the "Func." button then select "Delete".
5. Select "All Scenes" or "This Scene" to delete the corresponding clips.
6. Select "Yes" and then "OK" to delete the clips. Press the "Func." button to return to normal playback.
