Energizing various camcorders
The Panasonic VW-VBG6 is a rechargeable battery pack manufactured by Panasonic. It is a common battery type that is lightweight, with a long-lasting battery life but a slow charge. The battery can be used in many different camcorder model types produced by Panasonic, but is mainly used in professional-grade units.
Specifications
The VW-VBG6 is a lithium-ion battery pack and produces 7.2 volts of energy. It has 5,800 mAh (milliamp hour) of battery charge. This is about three hours, five minutes of hard-disk drive (HDD) recording time and three hours, 35 minutes of secure-digital (SD) flash drive recording time. The physical dimensions of the battery pack are 1.6 by 1.4 by 1.8 inches. It weighs 4.8 ounces.
Models of Camcorders
The VW-VBG6 is designed for use in various camcorders by Panasonic. These are the Panasonic HDC-SD9, HDC-HS9 and HDC-SX5. The battery can also be used with the Panasonic SDR-H60, SDR-H40, VDR-D50, PV-GS500, PV-GS320 and PV-GS90 model camcorders, but they have no display of battery life.
Other Accessories
The VW-VBG6 can work on different camcorders, but it needs a device to hold the battery onto the camcorder. The VW-VH04-K Battery Pack Holder Kit is required to use the extended-life battery pack. It is also required to use with the HDC-SD5/SD1 and SDR-H60/H40 Panasonic camcorders.
