Connect The At2020 To A Mic Stand

You can create studio-quality recordings with an Audio-Technica AT2020 mic.

The Audio-Technica AT2020 is a high-performance microphone designed for home use. If you're an aspiring singer or musician without the means to record in a professional studio, you can use this particular mic to create studio-quality recordings, and it won't hurt your pocketbook in the process. Even better news is that the AT2020 is user-friendly, and the process of attaching it to a mic stand to get it ready for use is fairly straightforward.

Instructions

1. Disconnect any cables from the port in the bottom of the AT2020 microphone and locate the threaded pivot mount sticking out of the side of the bottom of the microphone.

2. Place the pivot mount over the top of the microphone stand. Or, depending on the type of microphone stand you are using, wherever the threaded connector end of the mic stand happens to be.

3. Turn the back of the AT2020 pivot mount clockwise to tighten it onto the microphone stand. Make sure it is tight enough so that the mic is stable and there is no risk of it falling off the stand.
