The grandeur of the iPhone is its ability to download a vast variety of applications and games. You can find iPhone apps and games on the App Store, which, as of 2010, is the only marketplace for iPhone applications. Developers are constantly adding new apps to the App Store, so you'll always find a fresh array of games and apps to suit your needs. As long as you know your iTunes login information, you can begin downloading and using new apps and games right away.
Instructions
1. Turn on your iPhone and touch "App Store" on your home screen. Tap "New" to see the newest featured apps. Touch "What's Hot" to view the most popular apps.
2. Tap "Categories" at the bottom of the App Store to sort through different categories of apps, such as finance, games, music and lifestyle. Touch "Search" to enter the name of a specific app. You can also use "Search" to find an app even if you're not sure of the full name. For example, if you type in "Rat" for an application titled "Rat Escape," all apps beginning with "Rat" will appear.
3. Touch an app that you want to download. The app's description will appear. Tap "Download" to download the app if it's free. Touch the price to download an app that costs money. Sign into your iTunes account when prompted, if you haven't already.
