1. Connect your USB flash drive to your computer using the computer or laptop's USB port. A message should pop up confirming that the computer or laptop has connected to your USB flash drive.

2. Open up the folder on your computer where you store your photos. If you are using a Windows-based system, the default file for picture storage is the "My Pictures" file. There is a shortcut to this file on the "Start" menu, or you can locate it by going to "My Computer" and then click "My Documents." The folders and files located within "My Documents" will open and you should see the "My Pictures" folder there. Double click to open. Inside you will see either thumbnails of your photos or a list of photo names.

3. Select the photos you want to display on your digital picture frame by holding down the "Control" key while you click on the photo. When you've finished selecting your photos, go to "Edit" and select "Copy" from the drop-down menu. (Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut to copy by pressing "Control" and "C" at the same time.) Open up the "My Computer" Folder. You should see your USB flash drive listed as one of the devices with removable storage. Double click the icon to open your flash drive folder. Then go to "Edit" and select "Paste" from the drop-down menu. This will transfer copies of your photos to your USB flash drive.

4. Disconnect your flash drive from your computer by clicking the "Back" button at the top of your window and then clicking "Eject this disk." Remove your flash drive after you receive the confirmation message. Now connect your flash drive to the USB slot on your digital picture frame. Your pictures will begin showing as soon as your frame recognizes your flash drive.

5. Alternatively, you can transfer your photos directly from your computer to your digital picture frame by using a compatible USB transfer cable. Start by connecting one end of the USB transfer cable to the digital frame and the other to your computer. A message should pop up confirming that your computer is "reading" your digital frame. Continue by following steps two and three. Once you've copied your photos to the frame, follow step four to disconnect your computer from your digital picture frame.
