Program An Lg 3280 For Tracfone Use

The LG 3280 is a prepaid phone that is offered through TracFone. When you receive your phone, you must program it to work with the TracFone system. During the programming process, your phone will be set up for voice and data services such as text messaging. Your phone number is also assigned during programming. Activation, or programming, is performed from your phone's handset over the air. Following activation, you may not be able to use all of your phone's features for up to four hours.

Instructions

1. Insert the battery in the TracFone and charge the LG 3280 for at least 1 to 2 hours.

2. Turn on the phone and select the "Menu" key while on the phone's home screen. Press the "OK" key when "Prepaid" appears on the screen.

3. Scroll down to "My ESN" and write down the number in the field. Press the "End" key to exit to the phone's home screen.

4. Visit the TracFone website (see References) and access the "Activation" online tool. Click "Register" and sign up for a free account. Log in to the free account using the user name and password you created.

5. Click the "Active My TracFone With a New Number" radio button and select the LG 3280 from the list of phones. Click "Submit."

6. Enter your phone's serial number in the appropriate field. The serial number is the ESN number you wrote down in Step 3. Click "Submit."

7. Enter your personal and billing information. The personal information you need to provide includes your name and email address. Click "Submit."

8. Follow the onscreen prompts to activate your phone. Your phone should turn on and off during the activation process. When programming is complete, you should receive a text message confirming the activation.
