Troubleshoot My Lg Mobile Phone From Heating

Avoid keeping the LG phone in closed spaces for long periods of time.

If your LG mobile phone feels as if it is heating up or overheating during use, you can perform basic troubleshooting to determine the problem. Overheating can be the result of several factors, including using an unauthorized battery. When the phone overheats, it makes it difficult to use and can result in damage to the unit.

Instructions

1. Ensure that your LG mobile phone's battery is the recommended brand if it is heating up during use. LG recommends that only batteries manufactured by the company be used in its mobile phones. If the battery is not an LG battery, replace it.

2. Verify that your mobile phone's charger is manufactured by LG. Using a charger from a different manufacturer can cause your phone to overheat. Replace the charger if it is not an LG charger.

3. Disconnect your phone from the charger during use. Talking on the phone while charging can lead to the phone heating up, or it may short-circuit the phone.

4. Replace the battery, even if it is an LG battery, if the phone continues to overheat.
