Troubleshoot A Magellan Maestro 4250

The Magellan Maestro 4250 delivers turn-by-turn directions and GPS navigation specifically designed for use in North America. With the 4250's hands-free features you can control your GPS with voice commands and connect a Bluetooth-enabled phone to make calls. Like any device, the Maestro 4250 can encounter system errors or other problems that can cause it to become unusable. To resolve these issues, restore the GPS unit to its factory default settings. The restore will remove any personal data you have saved to the device; however, it will be returned to a fully functioning condition.

Instructions

1. Hold the "On/Off" button on the top of the Magellan Maestro 4250 for 1 to 2 seconds until it powers off.

2. Turn the Maestro over to expose the small "Reset Hole" on the bottom of the Maestro's body.

3. Insert the toothpick or paperclip into the "Reset Hole" until it depresses the "Reset Button" inside the hole. Hold down the "Reset Button" for 5 to 10 seconds.

4. Press the "On/Off" button for 1 to 2 seconds to turn the device back on. The Maestro will be reset to the original operating condition and repair any issues you were experiencing with the device.
