History

The Sony PlayStation Portable, or PSP, is a handheld gaming device that was first released to the North American market on March 24, 2005.

Variations

The PSP comes in several retail configurations, colors and models.

Memory

Several types of memory can be used with the PSP. These include the Memory Stick Duo, MagicGate Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Duo (MagicGate/High Speed) and the Memory Stick PRO Duo.

Types

The PSP was originally sold with a 32 MB card, but higher capacities are available.

Size

The original Memory Stick was small, about the size of a stick of chewing gum, but the Memory Stick Duo is even smaller.
