Sony Cdxm10 Cd Specifications

The stereo has become an integral part of the boating experience, offering a soundtrack that often helps to define the trip and features that take some of the monotony out of otherwise quiet fishing trips. The Sony CDX-M10 Marine CD player and sound system includes several features and specifications designed to make both the boating and the listening experience more enjoyable.

Dimensions

Although several features of the Sony CDX-M10 are designed to be greater than an in-dash car stereo system, the physical dimensions of the stereo are not much different. The dimensions of the Sony CDX-M10 Marine CD player are approximately 7 1/8 in. wide by 2 in. high by 7 1/8 in. deep and the machine itself weighs approximately 2 lbs. 11 oz. This is designed to fit into a mounting hole that is 7 ¼ in. wide by 2 1/8 in. high by 6 ½ in. deep.

Connections

The Sony CDX-M10 system must connect to a 12 V DC boat battery for power, but also includes a connection for an aerial antenna, an optional Marine Remote Commander remote control terminal, a telephone ATT control terminal and audio outputs. Additionally, the CDX-M10 system includes a front-mounted AUX auxiliary input jack that is compatible with 3.5 mm input cables. This size is also the standard headphone jack size and the auxiliary input is also featured in many car stereo systems.

Compatibility

While all CD players play CDs, not all CD players play all types of CDs. The Sony CDX-M10 is capable not only of playing standard audio CDs, but also computer recorded CDs (CDRs) and advanced media CDs such as MP3 CDs and Windows Media Audio CDs. Using CDs of this type makes it possible for the CDX-M10 to play up to 1,000 songs continuously from a single disc. The stereo system is also equipped with an AM/FM receiver that can tune from 87.5 to 108.0 FM.

Features

This marine stereo system is also equipped with several convenience and customization features. The front panel display supports ID3 tag information such as the song title, artist and album. The clock function can display time in either 12-hour or 24-hour time. A computerized and customizable equalizer is accessible from the front panel menu and includes seven preset equalizer settings to provide optimal sound for several music types and, for security purposes, the front panel of the Sony CDX-M10 detaches from the unit.
