Make The Sd Card Be Recognized By Verizon Phones

Today's Verizon phones are full featured mobile devices with integrated music players. The preferred music store for Verizon users is VCast Music, which allows you to download songs directly to your phone. However, if you have other digital music files on your PC or another device, you will need to transfer them to your phone via a microSD card. Making your SD card readable by your Verizon phone requires some preparation.

Instructions

1. Insert the microSD card into your phone. The SD card slot is typically located along the side of the phone or behind the battery cover.

2. Open the "Main Menu" on your phone. The button combination for accessing the main menu will vary for each phone.

3. Select "Settings and Tools" and choose "Memory." In the next screen, select "Card Memory." Select "Options" and choose "Format."

4. Enter your 4-digit lock code if prompted. Choose "Yes" when asked if you would like to format your card. Your card will now be setup to be recognized by your Verizon phone.

5. Add media files to the corresponding folder on the microSD card. After formatting your SD card, it will create five folders: "media," "my_flix," "my_music," "my_pix" and "my_sounds." For your phone to recognize your files, you must place them in the correct folder.
