You can use USB SD cards to play a Wii ISO.
The hacking community has created a suite of free downloadable tools for smoothly transferring Wii game ISOs onto the Wii game console without the need for burning DVD-Rs. What makes the process even easier is the relatively small file size of many Wii ISOs--most are under two gigabytes--so even standard four-gigabyte SD drives can often transfer multiple titles at the same time.
Instructions
1. Download the four files available from these sites:

Download the following file if your Wii isn't connected to the Internet:

2. Plug the SD card into your computer; open its folder, as well as the location where you downloaded the four (or five) files. Unzip CoverFloader, and copy the CoverFloader1.0-forwarder.wad file into the wad folder of the SD card. Copy the CoverFloader folder into the Apps folder of the SD card.
3. Open the downloaded folder cIOS36_rev10-installer and change the name of cIOS36_rev10-installer.dol to boot.dol. Create a new folder in the SD card's Apps folder named cIOS36rev10 and copy boot.dol into it.
4. Create a new folder in the SD card's Apps folder called WADManager 1.4. Open the WADManager folder that was downloaded and rename the file called WAD-Manager_v1.4.dol to boot.dol. Copy this into the WADManager 1.4 folder on the SD card. If your Wii is not connected to the Internet, take the file downloaded from the fifth link provided in Step 1 and copy it directly into the root of the SD card.
5. Plug the SD card into the Wii and select the cIOS36rev10 file on the home screen. Follow the prompts and reboot the Wii. Select the WADManager1.4, and when asked which cIOS to use, choose cIOS36. Select the CoverFloader file, which will install the CoverFloader application on the Wii home screen. This displays any playable ISO files transferred using the SD card.
6. Plug the SD card back into the computer to load ISO files onto the SD card. Open the fourth downloaded file, the WBFS Manager, and select the disk drive of the SD card. Choose to format the SD card for the Wii. Then simply copy ISO files onto the SD drive and plug it into the Wii to play.
