LG's Chocolate mobile phones, such as the VX8575, feature Dolby sound so your music sounds the best that it possibly can. The onboard VCast service allows you to purchase and download music directly from Verizon onto your phone. If you already have your own music, you can transfer it to your device through a microSD card. Chocolate phones do not support music files with copy protection, so your music files need to be DRM-free to play properly.
Instructions
1. Push the back cover up to remove it from the phone. Insert a microSD memory card into the slot on the left side of the phone. Push the card in until it clicks into place.
2. Tap "Menu" or press the center "Menu" button to open the main menu. Select "Settings," then "Memory," then "Card Memory," then "Format" to format the phone's SD card. This will remove all of the data on the memory card and prepare it for use by the phone.
3. Push the memory card into the phone to disengage it, then pull it to remove it from the phone.
4. Click on the "My Computer" icon in the "Start" menu to view a list of your computer's storage devices.
5. Insert the SD card into a microSD-to-SD card adapter. Insert the adapter into the SD slot in your computer's card reader. Connect the external card reader to your computer if you are using an external reader.
6. Double-click on the storage device that appears in the "My Computer" window to open it. Double-click the music folder to open it.
7. Drag non-copy protected music files from other folders on your computer into the music folder. Allow the files to complete transfer.
8. Click the "Remove Device" icon in your computer's taskbar and select the memory card to eject it from your computer. Remove the SD card adapter from the card reader and remove the microSD card from the adapter.
9. Insert the microSD card back into the phone's memory card slot. Push it in until it clicks into place. Slide the back cover down until it clicks into place.
