InFocus projectors are a line of projectors released by the InFocus Corporation. The projectors are compatible with both computers and DVD or VCR players. InFocus projectors are as easy to hook up as any other device in a home entertainment system. Once hooked up, projectors can be used in a home theater system.
Connect the Projector
InFocus projectors can connect to computers, DVD or VCR players. The connection is through the video and audio ports on the projector and the device. For computers, connect the cable to the external monitor port and plug the other end of the cable into the computer input port on the projector.
The DVD or VCR is hooked up through the audio/video output ports on the device. Plug the cord into the output port and connect the other end of the wires to the input ports on the back of the projector.
Once connected, the projector is ready to play images from the source device.
Running the Projector
Plug the power cord to the back of the projector and connect it to a working power outlet. The indicator light on the "Power" button will light up amber. Press the "Power" button to turn on the projector. The indicator will blink green while the lamp warms up. Once the light stays green, the lamp is warmed up and ready for use. Turn on the source device and navigate to the material you want the projector to display.
Adjusting the Projector
You may find the image projected by an InFocus projector needs adjustment for proper viewing. There are several steps users can take to properly adjust their projector. First, to adjust the height of the projection, press and hold the leg release button on the top of the projector. Raise or lower the projector until it is at the correct height.
If the picture from the projection is not square, press the "Keystone" buttons on the top of the projector near the back. The top "Keystone" button will adjust the top corners of the picture, while the bottom "Keystone" button will adjust the bottom corners.
The projection lens has two dials that adjust the zoom and focus. Rotate the outermost dial to increase or decrease the screen size. When set, rotate the inner dial to set the focus.
