Reduce Radio Interference On A Headset

A headset generates electrical energy in the process of turning audio signals into sound. This electrical energy oftentimes causes radio interference or static noise heard through the headset. Reduce this radio interference byproduct by following one of a few procedures. These procedures involve different ways of using the headset to minimize electrical interference as well as including the addition of a noise-canceling device to the audio unit. Note these steps to reduce radio interference the next time you want to hear an audio without interference.

Instructions

1. Insert the headset's audio plug into the audio output of an audio device. Put on the headset. Press the power button on the audio device to turn it on. Access the menu on the device to start an audio playing. Adjust the positioning of the headset's cable from side to side as you listen to the radio interference in the audio playing. Stop adjusting the cable when the radio interference has lessened.

2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the noise canceling device. Insert fresh batteries into the battery compartment and close the cover. Insert one end of a mini-jack audio cable into the audio output of the audio device. Insert the other end of the mini-jack audio cable into the input port on the noise canceling device. Insert the plug from the headset's cable into the output port on the noise canceling device. Put the headset on. Press the power button on the noise canceling device. Press the power button on the audio device, followed by selecting an audio to play from the menu. Listen to the audio as radio interference is minimized through the noise canceling device.

3. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Bluetooth transmitter and receiver adapters. Insert fresh batteries into the battery compartments and close the covers. Plug the mini-jack of the Bluetooth transmitter adapter into the audio port on the audio device. Plug the headset's audio cable's mini-jack plug into the audio port on the Bluetooth receiver adapter. Put the headset on. Press the power button on both Bluetooth adapters. Press the power button on the audio device, followed by selecting an audio to play from the menu. Listen to the audio as radio interference is minimized, if not removed altogether, through the transmission of the audio via Bluetooth technology.
