Use the Fujifilm Finepix A340 Webcam


The Fujifilm Finepix A340 is a point-and-shoot digital camera made for the casual photo taker. It is intended to be easy to set up and easy to use. The camera features a sliding front panel instead of a power button, and shooting is relatively straightforward. The camera also features a special mode that allows it to be utilized as a webcam, accessible with a few quick settings modifications.


Instructions


1. Turn your camera on by sliding the lens cover open.


2. Press the "Menu" button and select the "Set-Up" option.


3. Scroll to tab 4, then click "USB."


4. Set the USB mode to "PC Cam" to enable the webcam mode, then press the "Menu" button to save.


5. Install the software included with your FinePix A340 camera by inserting the disc into your CD/DVD-ROM drive and following the on-screen instructions.


6. Connect the FinePix A340 to your computer using the USB device cable.


7. Open Windows Messenger by clicking "Start," selecting "All Programs" and clicking "Windows Messenger."


8. Click "Tools" and select "Audio Tuning Wizard." Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your webcam.


9. Double-click one of your online contacts to open a conversation, then click "Start Camera" to open the webcam interface. The FinePix A340 should be functioning as your webcam at this time.
