Although you installed iTunes on your Mac computer, you may not be getting every feature available. In order to get more features, you need to regularly check for the latest updates. You would not want to miss out on the newest iPod and iTunes features when it is as easy as updating your software, would you? Here are the steps to check for the latest iTunes updates on a Mac.
Instructions
1. Make sure your computer is plugged in and running properly. Check to see if your Internet connection is working without complications.
2. Go to the iTunes menu. Click Check for Updates. This will check your iTunes software, as well as your iPod software for any new updates. Here you will be told either your software is up to date, or you will be offered the newest update.
Alternative Option
3. Click the Apple Menu. Under this menu, you will see Software Update. Scroll down to this and click on it.
4. Choose Check Now. Just as above, you will be told if your software is up to date, or you will be offered the newest update.
