Organize Pictures On An Ipod

One frustrating drawback with iPod and iTunes is that pictures and photos are saved onto your iPod in a seemingly random fashion. But if you want to save a comic book or a slide show onto your iPod, you will want to organize your pictures so they are displayed in order. Follow these steps to organize pictures on an iPod.

Instructions

1. Create a new folder. Right-click anywhere on your desktop. Select "New" from the list and then "Folder." Name it "iPod Photos."

2. Find pictures you want to import to your iPod. These can be from the Internet or on your hard drive.

3. Copy them to your "iPod Photos" folder. If it is on your hard drive, highlight the photos and hit "Ctrl" and "C" at the same time. Then open your "iPod Photos" folder and hit "Ctrl" and "V" at the same time.

4. Rename the photos. Begin each filename with a number beginning from 001. Number them in the order you want them to appear. For example, "001 - peru.jpg" first, then "002 - peru.jpg" next, all the way up to "999 - peru.jpg." It is important that you number them in this fashion.

5. Open iTunes and connect your iPod. Now click your "iPod" icon. Click on the "Photos" tab.

6. Click "Sync Photos From:" and then select your "iPod Photos" folder. Click "Apply."

7. Update your iPod. Click "File" then "Sync iPod."

8. Disconnect your iPod and view the photos.
