The SpotBot is the Bissell Company's smallest carpet shampooer. Because it is so small, it is better suited to cleaning small rugs rather than entire carpets. The SpotBot has an automatic and manual function depending on your needs. Carpet shampooers like the Bissell SpotBot help keep your carpet looking pristine and clean. Clean spots as soon as you notice them to prevent them from soaking deep into the carpet's fibers where they will be harder to remove. If your machine breaks or stops working properly, fix it as soon as possible to make sure the machine isn't under stress and doesn't experience an even worse problem.
Instructions
1. Turn off the machine and unplug it.
2. Remove the clean solution tank if your machine is making an odd noise or is not spraying cleaning solution or water. Remove the tank by pulling the tank straight out of the machine.
3. Turn the clean tank around and unscrew the cap.
4. Fill the tank with cleaning solution up to the fill line. Use the fill lines on the left side of the tank if you are cleaning everyday stains. Use the fill lines on the right side of the tank if you are cleaning tough stains.
5. Fill the rest of the tank with water.
6. Screw the cap back on the tank. Replace the tank by pressing it straight down into the machine.
7. Turn the machine on its side if it continues to not spray cleaning solution or water.
8. Dip the toothbrush in clear water and gently scrub the spray tip. This will loosen any cleaning solution that might be clogged in the brushes.
9. Remove the clean tank and reinstall it if the machine continues to experience spray issues. The SpotBot will not work properly if the tank isn't locked into place.
10. Remove the dirty tank if the machine lacks suction. Remove the tank by lifting the latch and pulling it out of the machine.
11. Unscrew the cap and dump out the dirty water and cleaning solution.
12. Screw the cap back and put it in the machine. Close the latch to lock it on the machine.

If the machine continues to work improperly, contact the Bissell company to arrange for repairs.
